Ortho-Bionomy is a gentle, non-invasive, osteopathically based form of body therapy, which is highly effective in working with chronic stress, injuries and pains or problems associated with postural and structural imbalances. Gentle and non-forceful movements and positions of comfort are used to help the client return to a more balanced place. This positioning gently facilitates the release of holding patterns and reduces or eliminates pain and/or tension. Change of stress and pain patterns gives the body motive to shift and ability to change into a more functional relationship.

Marla Moore, a licensed massage therapist, has been in practice since 1992. Her style of therapeutic bodywork is subtle yet powerful.  Rooted in the techniques, principles, and philosophy of Ortho-Bionomy, her approach to bodywork is subtle yet powerful. This type of body therapy is designed to help unravel hidden pain and discomfort and bring the body into better balance. It can address complex muscular and joint issues in addition to be able to provide relaxation and stress reduction.

Ortho-Bionomy is very effective in helping alleviate both acute and chronic pain and stress patterns by reducing chronic muscle tension, soothing the joints, increasing flexibility, improving circulation, scoliosis, softening scars and relaxing the entire body. It stimulates your natural reflexes for self-correction.

A strong focus is placed on the comfort of the individual because no forceful manipulations are used. Home exercises are also suggested so that individuals can further facilitate the neuromuscular re-education process that begun during their session.
